Thinking out loud…<\/h3>\n

This is me…hair is getting longer and, some days, quite rebellious. \u00a0I am doing more cooking and prudent meal planning. \u00a0We are scheduled to receive our first delivered groceries today. \u00a0Though yesterday I went out to our little veg mart with mask in place to resupply the veg and milk. \u00a0So all in all, we are doing quite well. \u00a0Staying in, staying safe is the best thing we can do.<\/p>\n

And there are quite a few things that have helped! \u00a0One I can highly recommend is The Daily Respite by Clara Parkes. \u00a0Check out her website: \u00a0claraparkes.com and scroll down to her link. \u00a0I tried putting a link in this blog post, but it is beyond me at the moment to figure out how…sigh. \u00a0 But go and check out The Daily Respite\u2014who can resist \u201ccorgi butt buns\u201d!<\/p>\n

Samurai movies on Turner Classic Movies.\u00a0 Yesterday we watched \u201cThe\u00a0<\/span>Hidden Fortress\u201c, starring Toshiro Mifune, directed by the great Akira Kurosawa.\u00a0 This movie is a classic, along\u00a0<\/span>with the \u201cSeven Samurai\u201c which is on my menu today\u2014I recorded several movies yesterday.\u00a0 <\/span>I think you can get these on Netflix.<\/span><\/p>\n

Knitting, always near by! \u00a0I have socks in progress (I am not good at fitting socks\u2014it\u2019s a long story of getting two of anything to come out the same size. \u00a0But I am\u00a0<\/span>aiming for improvement). \u00a0I am also working on a sweater, and a very easy scarf. \u00a0Then I have a long list of things I want\u00a0<\/b>to knit!<\/span><\/p>\n

Books! \u00a0\u201cVanishing Fleece\u201d by Clara Parkes\u2014Clara\u2019s adventures with \u00a0a great white bale\u2014<\/i>of\u00a0wool, from fleece to yarn. \u00a0 And\u00a0a British Cozy\u00a0<\/span>mystery called \u201cThe Country Inn Mystery\u201d, by Faith Martin. \u00a0I ride my exercise bike while reading this one.<\/p>\n

On my list to read : \u00a0The Splendid and the Vile, by Erik Larson, about Churchill. \u00a0Jim could barely put it down!
\nThe Mirror and the Light, by Hilary Mantel\u2014the most recent of the Wolf Hall books, all of which have been fabulous reads.<\/span><\/p>\n

In my yard, Spring is springing, albeit with subtlety, but it is there. \u00a0The birds are frequent visitors to the suet cake feeders, and we love greeting them every single time.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s a Red Shafted Flicker. \u00a0A poor picture through the screen and glass, but a gorgeous bird.<\/p>\n
