In the 70’s…<\/h3>\n

I\u2019m turning 73, a good age all in all. \u00a0I do not think of myself as old, older,<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>yes. \u00a0But finding myself and hubby classified as at risk in view of the COVID-19 virus has definitely given me pause. \u00a0Let me say right off, we are definitely taking all precautions as directed, and given that, staying home is feeling kinda good.<\/p>\n

But it has caused a shift in my awareness. \u00a0It\u2019s a bit like saying, \u201coh yeah, that is true. \u00a0I am over 70. \u00a0I need to pay attention.\u201d \u00a0So I am.<\/p>\n

This is a time when taking care of ourselves is not selfish or indulgent, but very important. \u00a0It is doing our part to fight \u00a0this virus to the best of our abilities. \u00a0I am thinking of this big time out as a way to slow down, regain some equilibrium, recoup and refresh, and savor the simple, precious things in life.<\/p>\n

Whatever \u201crings your chimes,\u201d whatever makes you smile or laugh, whatever takes you to another place and time (this morning I was having \u201cdeep\u201d thoughts about geology and continental shift\u2014don\u2019t ask why because I just think about what shows up…) anyway, whatever it is, it is yours to do.<\/p>\n
